DIY “Jar of Thanks” for Your Thanksgiving Celebration
It’s time to start a new tradition! With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I wanted to share a super easy and sentimental DIY.
One of my family’s Thanksgiving is to add this years thankful notes to the “Jar of Thanks.” Everyone shares what they are thankful for this past year and then places it in the Thankful jar.
I’ve been doing this since my kids were little and now they’re 23 and 26. So, it’s been a long tradition.

Before you get started, download the FREE “Jar of Thanks” template. (Template Download link below.)
Step 1: Cut out the templates you want to use depending on the size of your container.
Step 2: Take the “Jar of Thanks” label and punch out the areas that are marked.
Step 3: Dab a dot of glue, using your glue gun, and center the label. Be sure to only make a small dot so you have room to slide your ribbon through the holes.
Step 4: Slide your ribbon through the holes and create a bow. I used 3/8″ ribbon.
Step 5: After cutting out the “Note Templates,” add a ribbon by folding an 8″ length in half. Thread the folded side through the punched out hole. Next, thread the two ribbons ends through the ribbon loop.
Step 6: Have each Thanksgiving guest write what they are thankful for this year and place it in the container.
Let me know in the comments if you make your own “Jar of Thanks” this Thanksgiving.
