It literally looks like you bought it from Anthroplogie or in the store design of Free People. I can’t stop looking at it!!!

Are you ready to grab your supplies to make your DIY Boho Chic Mirror?

(Supplies listed at the bottom of the page)

Start by cutting “12” pieces of this soft cotton rope at 7″ in length.

Now, you can definitely use another type of rope. But, I think the reason this turned out looking like an expensive Boho Mirror is because of this particular soft rope.
Next, uncoil each strip into three pieces.

Now take one of the strips and fold in half. Thread it through the last ring of the wreath base. (Shown in Step #3)
Then pull the two loose ends through the loop. (Shown in Step #4)

Keep making little tassels until you reach the cross bar, shown in Step #6.

You going to thread the rope through the same way you made the other tassels. The only difference is that will take each loose end on either side of the cross bar. This way you will be able to hide the bar.

Next pull the two loose ends through and it will completely hide the cross bar, shown in Step #8.

This is already looking so darn cute!!

Now add some hot glue to the second ring of the wreath base.

Be sure to grab a piece of paper and put it under your DIY Mirror so you won’t ruin your table with any hot glue.

Working quickly…after adding your glue quickly position your mirror and firmly press down.

Flip your DIY Mirror over and add a bunch of hot glue to the ring base. It’s important to zip zag the glue over the wreath base for more security. NOTE: I use Gorilla glue sticks. (Gorilla glue didn’t sponsor this post it’s just my favorite hot glue.)

Turn your mirror back over, right side up.

Now it’s time to add a piece of rope against the outer edge of your beautiful DIY Boho mirror and snuggly against the tassels.

TIP: Don’t cut the rope to fit yet. The ends will easily unravel.

Start by adding a generous amount of hot glue to the ring closest to the tassels.
You want to work in small sections at a time so the glue doesn’t dry before you start adding your rope.

Now when you complete the circle with glue and rope it’s time to cut the rope.
TIP: Add some glue to the end of the cut piece so it doesn’t unravel.

Now grab some twine or jute and string your wooden beads.
TIP: Add a little hot glue to the cut end of your twine and gently smooth it to form a needle.
Be careful not to burn yourself. This will make it easier to thread the wooden balls on the twine.

When you have enough beads to fill the mirror you can tie it off.

All that’s left to do is hot glue the wood beads to the mirror and the rope.
TIP: Working in small sections will give you enough time to add hot glue and place your wood beads to your DIY Boho Mirror before it dries.

Love, love, love the way this BoHo Mirror turned out! And I have the perfect project you can do next! It’s an easy Driftwood Heart DIY. Or, a No Sew Pillow...Anthropologie Style!!!

How do you keep the rope from falling down on the top area after it’s hung ?

    • /

Hi Priya: The rope will never stay completely straight up. I finger comb it. I love the look of it not being perfect. When making yours, one key is ensuring the tassels are not too long. That is the key. I hope that helped!

      Hi Donna:
Yes, you can totally omit the mirror and use it as a wreath.

Hi. This is Donna again. You covered where the ends of the rope attach. How did you manage that?

    • /

Hi Donna: I’m not quite sure what you are asking. The video will show you how the ropes are attached and hidden beneath the wood beads. Let me know if that’s what you are asking or if you have another question. xo, Michele

Did you use startch to make tassel stand not fall over mine flopping over when I hang it.. help please

    • /

Hi Bronda: The tassels will never totally stay standing up. I finger-comb them in the direction I want them to go. I like things to be more organic. The key is to make sure The tassels are short. I hope that helps. xo, Michele

how many feet of rope does this use?

    • /

Hi Stacy Ann: I never counted the amount I used. I had a lot of rope left over from the cotton rope I used. I hope that helps.
      Happy Holidyas! xo, Michele

Hello StacyAnn: I’ve actually never measured the length of all the tassels. So sorry I’m not more helpful.

I have a round mirror with a wide wood border. I am refinishing it for my daughter. I have already decided on BOHO theme with the colors I chose and shells. You have given me the idea for the final touches with the tassels and beads. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
