How to Make a Pom Pom

Here are some easy steps to make a Pom Pom. And if you like to learn with a video….I have you covered!
I show you how to make pom poms and add them to DIY Anthropologie Style Pillows. (Video is below)

How to Make a Pom Pom
Step 1:

Open up your Pom Pom Maker and wrap yarn around one side of the pom pom maker, as shown in photo above.

Keep wrapping around the double curved side of the Pom Pom maker until you cover the entire side and make it thick enough.

When you are finished wrapping your yarn…

…close that double curved lever.

NOTE: You can totally make pom poms without the pom pom maker. But, I love this tool!
It makes the process so easy!

How to Make a Pom Pom
Step 2:

Now grab your scissors and insert into one side of the pom pom maker.

Your scissors will easily slide through the channel of this tool.

Cut all the way through…like the photo above.

Repeat on the other side.

Step 3:

Cut a piece of yarn about a foot in length.

Slide it through the channel, as shown above.

Step 4:

Pull the yarn taught until you feel a “Clicking feel.”

Step 5:

Now tie a knot…making sure you tie it super tight.

Make one more tight knot.

Step 6:

Pull apart the Pom Pom Maker and reveal the cutest Pom Pom!

You’ll notice in my example I had purple on one side and orange on the other.

You will go nuts making Pom Poms now!!

Now you can add your cute Pom Poms on a Anthropologie Style Pillow that you can make too!

SUPPLIES:

• Pom Pom Maker (This is a life saver!!!!)
• Scissors
• Yarn
