Making your own cordless lamp is a great way to add a personal touch to your home decor. Not only can you choose the perfect style and size for your space, but you can also customize the lighting to suit your needs. Cordless lamps are also much safer than traditional lamps, as there are no cords to trip over or for children to pull on. Plus, they’re easy to move around, so you can always find the perfect spot for them.

Whether you’re looking for a unique lamp for your bedroom or a statement piece for your living room, making your own cordless lamp is a great way to go.

There are a few different ways you can make a cordless lamp. The most popular method is to buy a cordless lamp kit, which usually includes everything you need to make the lamp, including the shade.

Alternatively, you can purchase a cordless light bulb and socket separately and then attach them to a cordless lamp base. That’s what we are going to use for this DIY Project.

You’ll need this battery-operated light bulb for this easy Project.

It comes with a remote control which is awesome because you can control the brightness.

This lightbulb kit also comes with 3 sets of light bulbs so you can make three different lamp styles. You’ll also need aa batteries for full battery power.

Start by removing the magnetic holster from the bottom of your light bulb.

Next, hot glue the holster to your vessel.

I find that using hot glue on glass is the best way because you can easily remove it without damaging your glass vase.

And when your style changes you can easily take it apart.

My style changes week to week, LOL!

One week I want lots of colors and the next I want a little zen with all white and neutrals.

Who else is with me?

Well, that was super easy!

I think that was 2 minutes out of our 5 minute DIY.

Now, drop your light bulb into the magnetic holster.

You’re almost done…

Now, grab your light bulb clamp and put it on top of your light bulb.

It’s looking good already!!!!

It’s time to grab your lamp shade and put it on top of the light bulb clamp.

Next, secure the shade to the lightbulb harp and then screw in the finial top so your shade doesn’t fall off.

Viola!!!

You did it!

You literally made a lamp in under five minutes.

How beautiful is this cordless lamp? I mean really… It looks like I purchased it from a high-end store.

I customized my lamp a little more by adding a wood bead garland that has a cute little wooden fish, which is so adorable.

Turn On Your New Light!

Grab the remote control that came with your lightbulb kit and you’re ready to go.

Whoot! Whoot!

This was such a good idea if I do say so myself!!!

NOTE: This particular light bulb may not be as bright as a conventional light bulb.

However, it does the job.

The photo above is one of my hallways that does not have an outlet available. And it doesn’t get a lot of light. It’s usually very dark. So, a cordless lamp is perfect for this space.

I loooove the way it turned out. This is a similar glass vase to the one I used in the photo.

How easy was that?

I told you I could show you how to make a cordless lamp out of anything!

Here are some other ideas for the base of your lamp.

...this basket,

a wooden box,

a wine bottle,

a tea pot,

candle sticks.

You could even make your own candle sticks to use.

Become your own interior designer and make a lamp that fits your personal style.

Just be creative.

You are only limited by your imagination.
