And who doesn’t like to play with clay. I find it so therapeutic. Don’t you? Try one of these DIY candle holder ideas the next time you’re feeling inspired.

Really, all your gonna need for this project is oven bake clay, your hands, and your imagination!
I chose black and white because I wanted the pink candles to stand out.
Step 1: First, roll clay into a ball. Step 2: Next, push votive into the ball of clay to determine the size of the opening.
Step 3: Now, scoop out the clay. (Note: Be sure to make sure that the depth of the opening fits the votive. You can periodically check this as you are carving out the clay.
Step 4: Smooth the opening of the clay.
Step 5: Next, roll out little strings of black clay and cut tiny pieces for the “Xs.”
Step 6: Gently press in the “X” shapes into the votive holder. This is the fun part!
NOTE: You will use the same process for the “DOT VOTIVE.”
