DIY Driftwood Wall Art Heart (Video Included)

Grab your hot glue gun, some driftwood pieces, cardboard, and twine and create your own beachy little driftwood heart wall art.

Are you ready for Summer?

I am so ready!

In anticipation of Summer here’s some DIY wall art project with a little piece of coastal inspiration.

You’re going to love how easy this DIY project is!!!!
…sorry for the dangling preposition!

I have a video tutorial below if that’s best for you.

And, as an added bonus….the video has 2 other cute DIY projects.
The supply list is also below.

Grab a piece of cardboard. This won’t be visible so you can cut up an Amazon box.

Or, you can use a wood heart shape if you want it to look completely finished.

Draw a heart shape.

Or, use a heart shape.

Cut out your heart shape.

Start adding some hot glue and add your first piece of drift wood.

You can make your driftwood art piece any way you want.

You may want to start around the edge, like the example in the photo above my bed.

Or, you can follow the way I did the wood sliced version.

Keep adding driftwood to make your DIY wall art.

Be sure to add each piece in different angles.

And you definitely want to overlap and layer your driftwood to create dimension.

Keep in mind, as you are layering your pieces, to add pieces outside your base heart.

This way you won’t see the base from the front.

Cut a pice of twine, about 4″ long.

Turn your heart over.

Add hot glue to the top of the heart and add the twine…one side at a time.

Now you have a beautiful Beach House inspired piece of wall art.

If you don’t have access to driftwood you can get it here. This is the kind shown in the photo above.

I shopped around, and this was such a good deal for how much you get!
I like to share a good deal when I find one.

You can make so many things with driftwood.

I’ll be making a driftwood mirror soon and can’t wait to share it with everyone!
